I attended a great HubSpot webinar in 2012 on business blogging and wanted to share these interesting facts and statistics on business impact of blogging. Blog Facts & Stats:
- Companies that blog have 97% more inbound links than those that don’t. Creating great content is the key to getting inbound links – there’s just no substitute.
- Businesses that blog at least 20 times per month generate 5X more traffic and 4X more leads than those that only blog a few times per month.
- Creating, optimizing, and promoting content are keys to filling the top of your sales and marketing funnel with more website traffic and leads. The good news is that companies who create, optimize and promote their blogs get 55% more traffic and 70% more leads than those who don’t.
- Blog posts that were shared on just Twitter had 113% more inbound links than those not shared on social media at all.
